William M. McDuffie

William M. McDuffie is a lifelong public servant. After graduating high school in 1985, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served 12 years, including during the Gulf War. He later worked as a police officer in Jacksonville and continued his service in the Air Force Reserve as an intelligence analyst.

Inspired by the events of September 11, 2001, he became a Federal Air Marshal, safeguarding commercial flights and deploying worldwide during Operation Enduring Freedom. McDuffie retired from the Air Force after 26 years at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Strayer University and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Robert Morris University, and he is currently pursuing a master’s in information security technology and a Ph.D. in educational organizational leadership. He presently serves as a Transportation Security Specialist with the TSA.
