Born in Nigeria, Casmir Ohanele immigrated to the United States in 2015 as a journalist, covering events for Nigerian associations across the US. With a background in Philosophy and Journalism, Casmir has contributed to several newspapers, including the Texas International Guardian. Casmir’s professional journey reflects a rich and diverse experience. In Nigeria, he served as a Special Adviser to the State Commissioner for Petroleum and Environment. In the US, he has worked as a caregiver, a correctional officer, and now as a Therapist at Banyan Treatment Center in Delaware, where he supports individuals struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.
Casmir’s passion for giving back inspired him to establish the Ohanele Foundation, which provides education and vocational training to underprivileged individuals in Nigeria. His vision includes founding a diploma-awarding institution for Addiction and Mental Health Counseling and creating a psychotherapeutic and addiction facility in his home country. His interest in Masonry was influenced by his membership in the Supreme Vikings Confraternity and Norsemen Kclub International. Becoming a Master Mason has given him a profound sense of purpose and belonging, and he is eager to delve deeper into the rich history of Freemasonry. Looking ahead, Casmir aspires to serve Nigeria in a political capacity and make an impact in Forensic Psychology as an expert witness and evaluator within the US criminal justice system. His journey is one of resilience, dedication, and a commitment to creating positive change in the world.
